See this is seven

Bugger. Late. Just. And I won't have internet for a couple of days (unless I go to Babahogs / Chain Locker) as I'm moving into new house tomorrow, 11am. WHEEE!
All very lovely.
I really can't much remember the last week.
Today I had fun about Fally with Silje, Vera, Faye, Andy, and Marcel. A fair bit of Scrumpy Jack, snooping about A&M's new place (2 doors down from our new house - we have the geek end of town! Woop!). Drawing lots of cocks in Faye's sketchbook, oggling tasty looking chaps with Vrarr, grabbing Faye's bum & making her scream.... yep, good stuff.
Yesturday was bugger all. Mum left in the morning to go back to Reigate. She had been down for 2 nights after her yaghting trip round the south coast of Cornwall with 5 others... then coming to help move my, Vrarr, & Silje's stuff.
OH MOVING STUFF! HA!
Marcel, Andy & I helped to move Faye's stuff on Saturday. Rather amusing. 2 full big Tescos trolleys... twice... along from one end of Fally highstreet to the other (Tuke House to our new house). 1 of 1st lot of trolleys decided to throw a box off of the top in the middle of a zebra crossing not long into the journey, spilling stuff everywhere & causing a queue of cars waiting for it. I ran over at least 1 person with my 1st trolley load. Lot of people looking at us and smiling a bit, probably thinking "ahhh young people" or something like that.
Anyway, it's all moved now.
Now we just need to move ourselves.
In the 2 days my mum was down, she rented a car & took me, S&V places. On the sunniest day we went to Porthlune Cove (beyond Truro, south coast) and basked on the beach and built sandcastles and swam in the sea. Vrarr got BIG FOOT PAIN as she trod on a weaver fish. Luckily we found a couple who had a thermos of hot water so we got it on a towel and wrapped it round her foot.

WAY TO STOP WEAVER FISH STINGS FROM BEING SO BAD: The stuff in the sting is protein based. It spreads better in cold water, so get it in as hot as you can water (this will stop the pain from spreading too far... do this as soon as possible as it spreads up your whole leg and probably beyond). The pain won't totally go away for 5 hours, but at least it won't spread too bad. Weaver fish live in the sand on mostly beaches - their favourite place is at the low tideline as the water never leaves there. It is the spines along their back which stings you. Ouch.

We also visited the Lost Gardens of Heligan. They were lovely but I probably would have liked them better if I had not been so knackered from moving my, S&V's stuff all morning (and lacking in sleep). Last time I visited there was when I was about 6.
Another set of gardens I visited were Trelissick gardens (National Trust) with Silje & Loz. Went there and back on the Fally - Trelissick (Truro, actually) ferry. Noice day, talked to cows and climbed many trees etc.

SHORT UPDATE DUE TO MOVING HOUSE.

Wednesday 24 June 2009

Sechs (why all the Deutsch, I do not know)

Currently, it is about 2pm and I just ate a bowl of petite pois. YUM.
I am really hot.
Heat & barely any wind calls for a sticky person.
Fire on beach later! Midsummers thing? Something.
Faaackin' 'ell I'm melting.

Right, prop door open for HOPEFULL wind tunnel.
It's not working.
Perhaps I should start packing my clothes, the wintery ones anyway since there is NO WAY IN HELL that I'll be needing THEM for the next week.

Has anything happened in the past bit less than a week due to my oh so terrible and rebellious late updating last week? Hmmmm....
--------------------------------------------
Bex is shit, and went and got drunk on the beach instead of remembering to update.
Here it is. Hopefully. A day late.

The last week has been mostly just packing to get ready to move out (28th July!!) and getting drunk in some way or another. We had a day trip to Perranporth the other day, sunny enough to make me change colour slightly (my suncream proved it's worth to me, as the places I DIDN'T put it on went red, where as the creamed up places simply got darker. Perhaps my bad opinion of suncream will change). The beach there was huge and lovely and sandy as per usual, and the sea was gawwwwwjus! Next time I'm buying & taking / hiring a bodyboard. Waves were good for that.
On the bus to Perranporth I saw a beach with a cloud / lump of fog just sitting on it. I thought "hahaha! Look at that poor beach!" it turned out that that "poor beach" was Perranporth beach. The fog was fun though, and warm. And it did disappear.

I buried Silje and Loz. Loz lying down (he got the always amazing sand boobs & cock) and Silje sitting up. "Short one, can I bury you?" "No." "You can be buried sitting up?" "No." "Pleeease? I'll dig the hole all myself!" "If you can dig the hole". It was sort of like that. My hands are mean digging machines.

Also, Faye's dad who was over from Ireeeeland took us all out for Chinese and a couple of drinks at Spoons, how lovely! I had a large food baby by the end.
And we took the ferry to St Mawes. Or was that last week? Scheisse, my weeks are all getting mixed up. It was wet and windy but very fun.
And my mum briefly came past, she was just about to go sailing on a yaght for a week (coast of Cornwall, hopefully to the Isles of Scilly) so she and her crew let me sit on the yaght for a while, whilst they took it for a "quick 2 hour spin" round part of the coast. It was very lovely, sun and waves and me getting a wet arse and such.

That above is meine mutter. And one of her crew. The loon grin, it may be hereditory.

Watched Sparkhouse? Yes. That was one of the DVD's Silje bought because it had Richard Armitage in it, he was one of the mainish people (but not THE main) and the whole thing was all a bit dramatic. I may have deafened the world (or just a few people) when his role got wacked round the head with a rock (how dare they attack him!) and rather fell in love with his "sausage on a fork" thing, and "I'M OUT O' MILK!" thingymabob toooo. Ohhhh yeah. He is still best in North and South, and most marvellous in Robin Hood still (but it's not so good him being on the "good side" since he no longer gets his own scenes... he's just part of another scene. Bah.

Ow ow ow my ankle hurts. Last night at the bonfire BBQ (Vrarr arranged, something about burning witches? Norweg tradition) and some of the firewood was an old stool. I had already broken up some firewood (a couple of big long planks I carried through town - girl in colourful poncho carrying 2 long planks may not be the most ordinary thing for the ongoing summer trail of tourists to see?) but yes, so I decided to stamp on the stool to break it up. This did not work, it simply made my ankle very painful. So Marcel & I took to throwing it hard at a wall. No doubt I was using my grunting monster girl powers again, since the stool fell apart. Attractive.

Turds, I STILL have to finish my 3x4 inches! Not much more work to do on em... and I REALLY hope they sell, coz I'd quite like £21 (£7 each to me, £3 of the original £10 goes to Babahogs art cafeee).
But first comes aquiring interwebbage for the new house. That is most important.

I've found a few noice things this weeeek, mostly within the past 2 days, they include:

http://www.karenobryan.com/Paper%20Works.html
Partially lovely, especially "Racoon walk" and "becoming the lion", but generally looks like everything else out there at the mo.
But then....

Oh. FALLEN IN LUUUURVE. Deep deep luuuurve!

Pointless weekly burble over.
I shall one day show off some of my OWN work on here.
Maybe.
Hmmm.

Wednesday 17 June 2009

Sciving five.

Ohhhh bugger, almost 2 days late... (but not quite). Agh well, at least I did not forget 100%.
This last week actually seems to have been quite eventful! On Wednesday I went into town with S&V to run a few errands, highlight of the day was probably the excellent pint (Old Grey's cloudyish cider) and pasty (Cornish Miners lamb & mint) and played Snakes and Ladders at the Front pub (Vera won, Silje came second, I failed). But yes, that was highlight.

Thursday was certainly interesting! Since the Pirate Party on Maenporth beach was postponed a week or so back, it then reappeared as Thursday... so we thought "YAAAY!" and got on our pirate garb (not that I'm ever out of it, being a pirate captain and all...) and trooped off into town grabbing Faye on the way. Gathered firewood at the graveyard near Swanpool and theeen..... got bored walking to Maenporth so had a fire with just the 5 of us on Swanpool. It was ok... pretty hot. But then police made us put it out (bastards, but they really were nice about it). Then 2 random guys appeared from the dark and we all lay on the hot sand which was now there due to big fire + water + covered in sand = naturalish radiator. Ohhhh yeah. Then a bunch of metallers came along - some guy from 3rd year animation (I think) called Roland (Ro for short) and his friends from London. We were quite drunk, so Vera & I (at least I seem to remember us 2 being the 2) made them take off their tops (to which the 2 previous guys were like "erm, have they never seen a cock before?" XD). But yes.
One guy called Yoni was especially nice, he was one of the London lot though originally from Israel and his brother was there as well. When the other 3 went home, Vera & I went back to Ro(land)'s place and topped the night off... with absinthe. My head was NOT good the next day.

And so the next day was Friday. Hangover central (rum & cider would have been fine, but no, I just had to have that absinthe.
Dying dying dying, and then making food for us 3 and also Faye who we dragged up here to the wilderness which is Tremough. Watched a BBC drama called "North and South" which Silje bought pretty much solely because it had a rather lovely looking Richard Armitage in it. OH AND IT WAS SO GOOD.
Saturday was sleepy times and then "Black Tie" bonfire etc on Gyll, that was quite nice, just fire and stars and not too much alcohol. Mmm.
Sunday was a little more boozing, but not much. Sitting outside on helipad with Umut and then in mine to watch Caligula.

I CAN OFFICIALLY TELL YOU ALL, THAT CALIGULA IS REALLY NOT PORN. Not a cock in sight, and I don't think I saw one proper sex scene. The reviews are all wrong. It's just weird and a tad confusing.

Monday. Pizza express (ohh classy) breakfast with S&V. I had "Padana" which is all goats cheese & spinach & balsamic vinegar & caramalized red onion & OHHHH SO GOOD.
On the bus there (Number 2 Penzance - Falmouth, double decker with me on dock deck wheee!) there was an old chap & his wife (or general female aquaintence). I swear I heard him say "You don't see many nuns, do you?" and "Theres some loose children". Most odd... old person speak, or just my hearing?
Gymed it up on Tuesday with Vera, felt good after that. Then I ran to Asda (pretty much) with Loz. On the way out I gave my trolley to some guy looking for a trolley, he gave me £1 for it. So I earned £1 as our trolley had never had money in it (dunno why). I was then like "Uh? WOW!" but then I heard running and now rather angry man shouting "GIVE ME BACK MY POUND!" so I did with the truthful apology of "sorry, I didn't even think about it" sort of thing, and so he swore at me gave me an evil look and after grabbing £1 from my hand (which I was offering back!) he ran away. Silly angry man.

AND NOW WEDNESDAY, never fear, a long boring entry this week means a shorter one next week (you hope).
Today it was a grim and gloomy day; the wind was howling, the rain was... splattering, and Andy and Marcel had chickened out of coming on the "Illustration picnic adventure to St Mawes via ferry" as it was probably too wet. Wusses :P
Still need to do [4inch].... stuck in a rut.

So Vera, a rather hungover Silje & I got on the ferry and rode the choppy waves across the big natural harbour of Falmouth. Fun stuff! Pretty wet, and when we got there we instantly saw "The Rising Sun" - a public house. Ohhhh I love "House of the Rising Sun" by The Animals (who is it originally by? I swear it's not them, but I love their version).
So we sat in there, and I had a pint of pear Rattler and we waited for Loz to appear on the next ferry. Then walkies to St Mawes castle, and fun there ending in a little picnic sheltered behind a wall thing (windyish, but out of the rain).
Then at the end of the day we came back, and once back, the weather cheered up. Pshh.
Evening in.

Anyway, time to stop boring.
Not got much else to say, and nothing much to show, but heres a link to a lovely photographer:

http://www.robinschwartz.net/
Check out "Amelia's world - Animal affinity" bit. Lovely lovely lovely. Youngish girl photographed by her mother with various animals, some of them are better than others, but.... NOICE.

Photos of St Mawes will most likely appear on my Facebook. Mmm. G'night.

Eins Zwei Drei Vier...

Again, where the bloody hell did the last week disappear to...
Perhaps to the devotion of finishing work for assesment and also drooling over Richard Armitage.

Assesment went well enough, no 1sts and only a 3rd in visual studies (would have been a 2:1 if I had actually done more work for it and also tied it together with the rest of my work more) and also a referral in life drawing (due to lack of attendence for a couple of months, as in those 2 months I was going mad making my Illustrated book). But hey, referral work is in and I'm freeeeeee! Wheee. Year 2 starts on October 5th, so I have until then to finish my summer project. Yum yum.
Last night I was posing for Vera's life drawing referral. Ohhhh yeah. Not naked, may I add, or else Vrarrr would currently be having the bandages on her eyes re-newed.

Cleared desk yesturday... it turned from something like this:to this:OH GOLLY GOSH GONZALEZ. And in September another 80 or so Illustration students will be flooding into that room and farting on those chairs... (which I remembered to remove my warm cozy carpet sample off of, that can be gaffa taped onto my next year chair). Year 1 has zoomed past at the speed of light. Alan Male (Proffesor or Sir? I cannae remember. Whoops) showed us round the 3rd year exhibition yesturday. It's all a bit worrying, but I nabbed some inspiration and now am tingling to make and stuff. But first, room tidying. And staring at more inspiration... this week I found this chap called Tobias Lund. This is probably my favouritiest piece by him, and one of his older pieces I think, and some of the rest of his stuff just looks a bit scruffy... but I like the colours & whatnot. And what are the things being used as the trees foliage?! Looks like slices of dried mushroom....? Who knows. Mystery.
But yes... on the brief mention above of Richard Armitage.... RICHARD ARMITAGE NEEDS A BIGGER MENTION.
Didn't have the foggiest as to who he was before I started watching Robin Hood series 3, where the chap starts off a bit greasy looking but is actually pure godliness in a man form in tight black leather. Corrr blimey.
Let this clip from series 2 make you drool...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvKgrAqtkBs&feature=related
Apparently I had seen him before, as he acted as "Harry" in Vicar of Dibley, Harry is the lovely chap who the Vicar marries (in her PJ's). He seems to be the perfect lovely husband, not that I get the whole marriage thing... but he does give a certain weak at the knees thing.
So Silje and I were drooling at the man the other day which led to Silje ordering 2 DVD's with him acting in 'em off of Amazon (North and South - thats from a TV series, and also something else which I can't remember but I'm sure he was gorgey gorgey gorgeous). I can't wait until those DVD's come through.
Vera now says that he DOESN'T look like her dad, which is good.

On another droolworthy note, I want Sims 3. Miss Zoe (used to be in my class at Falmouth, but transferred into Brighton. http://zoeaustin.blogspot.com/ <-full of cakes and cuteness), but yes I got distracted MISS ZOE HAS SIMS 3... *jealousy condensed*. I want. A lot. I mean, I have Sims1 & 2 on my old laptop (which overheats pretty much if I even so much as hovver my mouse over the programme) but the graphics in Sims3 are sooo much better! For a start the fire looks vaguely like fire. Mmmm. Wanty want want. But I think I need to get me an external hard drive first. And feel a little richer.

For the past few days I've been jamming my brain full of Electric Light Orchestra. Now I'm starting to get a bit sick of it... but there aren't half a good bunch of tunes. Though time to find something new...
(But here is ear jammage: http://open.spotify.com/album/6rHPsoKbb2DSpYX3VViHPw ).

I seem to remember stealing that CD from my dads collection back home. Ahhhh parents taste in music. S'all good. People wonder why I have a rather filthy mind... blame the upbringing on a diet partially made of Ian Dury & the Blockheads.
Looked through old photos the other day... some amusing ones of when I was young. How about this one (which is sideways, not sure why but blogger decided it should be that way round?).
I'm the one on the far left / the one floating at the top in the yellow and black jesters hat. Still got that. We (myself, my old best friend Becca, another old good friend Rose, and a super old friend Lucy) were on a walk with my parents walking & YHAing group. Wearing silly hats & attaching ourselves together with ropes was a great past time. And I seemed to like tying old dry grass to my bag. Good stuff. Pretty as a picture.

More recently I have been spending time on Gyll beach at night, when I can be arsed to get bus there and taxi back from Tremough. Little bonfires and such, roll on this Saturday.Doodlage for location drawing. Nigel liked this one quite a lot. Just pro-markers and white acrylic. Mmmm.

Extra mmmmm, as tonight Loz is cooking me, Vrarr, and Silje super cheesy (Leerdammer) macaroni cheese! Om nom nom. I look forwards to it.
Meanwhile, some terrible advertising. Anyone who likes Robert Smith / The Cure and who feels like talking to people who are (rather obsessed) with the same thing and whatnot?
http://dedicated2robert.com/
I'm moderator there, and have been for some years now... back in 2005/2006 it was buzzing and very much alive. Now theres less than 30 active members. Sad times :(
Perhaps forums like that are just going out... I admit that it's not the most up to date etc place, but still! We're all lovely!
/end of spammage.
I smell bacon. Again. I blame my kitchen. I shall go investigate.
Perhaps I shall add more to this post later on today... after all, it is only 1:30pm. Something AMAZING could happen.
Oh, Imy sent a very excited text yesturday - she was on a trip to London and was in Boots on Oxford Street buying a meal deal. AND NOEL FIELDING WAS IN THERE TOO! 2 PEOPLE AHEAD OF HER IN THE QUEUE! I still go one higher as I've touched his posterior (crowd surfing) but still. Wow! Meal deals.

OH! Must remember to watch that DVD we're borrowing from Kathleen (Don't be afraid of the dark) and also my still unwatched 70's porn, Caligula. Hmmm.
Endy end end.

Tuesday 2 June 2009

Drei.

Today I touched an otter. Oooh, slimy! <-Loz wrote that.

Holy shit, I swear I only wrote last weeks thingy yesturday. Currently Loz is in my toilet (not in the actual thing) making weird noises to himself whilst pissing.
TODAY, I was at the beach with Jen all day (it is too hot to work, so I printed off my Macbeth pictures at uni and that was work done until the evening). Spent the day sunning self on a rock, and swimming in ze sea! A little seaweedy, but fine in the end when I decided that the seaweed really wouldn't eat me (not too much, anyway). Loz has just said that the seaweed may not eat me, but the octopuses will... they'll nibble and they'll nibble until they've had their fill. Apparently. I am now even more sunburnt (on the back of my legs, and more on my shoulders) DESPITE the fact I wore suncream for once! Yes ok I did have a habit of going in the sea almost straight after putting it on, but that is sooooo very not the point.

Mmmmm, glass of Classic Healey's oak matured cyder, 7.4%. Very good. Very good indeeed. Seem to have been having at least 1 drink for the last few nights... hmmm....

For supper I ate three coloured pasta, chopped raw garlic and baby spinach, petite pois, sweetcorn, and crumbled Cheshire cheese all mixed up. Very tasty, mmhmmm.

Soon I will be out of cheese, and banned from buying any for a while (along with pasties and a few other things) because I felt a sudden urge the other day to buy this dress:
http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=19551&storeId=12556&categoryId=151405&parent_category_rn=42344&productId=1230116&langId=-1
From the site as well, so postage. Eeeek!

So yes.... no cheese for Bex! This is most saddening.

Ouch, I just itched the sunburn on my top outer right thigh. Owowow.
Currently listening to the Chocolate soundtrack, but other stuff I have been listening to recently is random worldy music like digeridoo's and such... heres some Spotify links (for those good sorts who have Spotify).
http://open.spotify.com/user/capn_bex/playlist/40o5EGvYAV6om9mQejvRD5 (Chocolat) http://open.spotify.com/album/7DCVzkFcAGgYbirDj5K3P3 (Digeridoo)
That'll do...

And arty stuff I've been eyeing up is the following: (other than pictures of old naked men, that is. Mmm, wrinkles) <-that last bit was by Loz again.

That there bear man above, is some groovisome work by a chap called Matt Leines.
And this here...
is something I like more for the colours than what it is (and myself and others agree that the darker grey bit at the bottom is annoying... surely it could be replaced with something else).
Hvass & Hannibal. Om nom nom.

What have I ACTUALLY done for this week.... Macbeth Macbeth Macbeth... oh! Saturday night I sat in the helipad for Maja's birthday BBQ, and then went into Fally where I found Faye & we went to a house party at Fine Art Ben's. Lovely garden he has, there was a big bonfire. Mmmm.
Ben seems to appear to be a useful man...

Weather is meant to get shit for this weekend, which is greatly upsetting as Pirate party at Maenporth is Saturday! IT MAY NOT RAIN! Not on Saturday / Sunday morning! Or else I shall be highly distressed.

That above is some pattern for my Macbeth box. But it's now also got pink hearts every other white (greenish, actually) space. Highly exciting, YES?
Heh, anyway, good night.
